Key points to remember

  • American Express is offering enhanced welcome offers on three of its Hilton co-branded credit cards.
  • New cardholders who have not received a welcome card offer can earn up to 130,000 bonus points.
  • Cardholders can also use Hilton Cards to earn loyalty points and receive elite status benefits when staying at Hilton properties.

New Hilton Card welcome offer details

New Hilton credit card users can earn up to 130,000 bonus points when they meet the spending requirements. Here’s how the offers break down:

According to research by Investopedia, Hilton Honors Points are worth an average of 0.48 cents each. This gives you a value of $336 with the Hilton Honors American Express Card and $624 with the other cards.

This is the first time the Hilton Honors American Express Card, which has no annual fee, has offered a free night. Unlike other hotel rewards programs that limit their free night awards to lower category properties, the Hilton Free Night Award can be redeemed for a standard room at most Hilton hotels worldwide.

Depending on the card you get, you can get other benefits, such as elite status benefits when you stay at Hilton properties, annual free night awards and more.

If you’re considering getting a Hilton credit card, keep in mind that American Express only lets you earn a welcome offer once on each of its cards. So if you’ve had one of these cards in the past and won the welcome offer, you won’t be eligible for a new one.

If you’re considering applying for a Hilton Honors credit card, review the card’s other features and compare it with other travel credit cards to make sure you’re getting the best one for you.
