Fidelity Bank Wins Highest Disbursement Award at DBN-Focused Locations

As a testament to its determination to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) develop and run profitable businesses, the leading financial institution – Fidelity Bank Plc – received the 2020 Service Award from the Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN) for highest disbursements at DBN-focused locations. The announcement was made during the very first DBN Service Ambassadors Awards ceremony held recently in Lagos.

While welcoming guests and award winners to the event, DBN Managing Director Mr. Tony Okpanachi explained that DBN is leveraging its partnership with participating financial institutions (PFIs) to provide relatively cheaper loans as well. as capacity building initiatives for small businesses.

Commenting on the award, CEO / CEO of Fidelity Bank Plc, Ms Onyeali-Ikpe, said that the Bank is delighted to receive the award and that this recognition will inspire her to do more to support the SME sector of the economy.

According to Ms. Onyeali-Ikpe, “This award is proof of the remarkable work we have done and are doing now to help small businesses access much needed loans at competitive rates to help them grow their businesses. . The DBN Ambassador Program, which started in 2020, is an initiative of the Development Bank of Nigeria designed to increase a sense of ownership among participating financial institutions, build capacity, increase lending to small and medium enterprises (SMEs). ) and ultimately deepen financial inclusion in Nigeria. The DBN on-lending program enables SMEs and small businesses eligible for PFIs to access loans at a considerably cheaper rate for their working capital or asset financing needs.
