According to ICICI Direct, M & M’s financial services business depends on how the rural economy is shaping up and the second wave of Covid-19 has brought new challenges to it. Management has indicated a cautious approach over the next two quarters. Therefore, ICICI Direct believes that the recovery may be slower and that a significant improvement in rates of return may be delayed. RoE is expected to reach modest levels of around 7 percent by FY 23E.
