NWI Business Ins and Outs: It’s Just Serendipity Goes By Date Only, Arby’s Opens, Nick’s Liquors Expands, Lice Clinics NWI Opens, Treasure Island Nutrition Raises Money To Stay Alive | Business

Treasure Island Nutrition, a sports nutrition store located at 1947 W. 45th St. in Griffith, is looking to raise funds and sell online after its owner’s household suffered from two coronavirus infections in one month .

The Herbalife subsidiary opened near the Highland / Griffith border just months before the COVID-19 pandemic spread around the world and has now temporarily closed its physical location. He sells teas, shakes, and other nutritional supplements for people who want to build muscle, lose weight, train as athletes, or just get in shape.

“Treasure Island Nutrition will be closed until further notice. This nasty virus has hit our home for the second time in less than 30 days,” the owners posted online. “Just five months after opening our doors, we have all been affected by a global pandemic. Treasure Island Nutrition has been kept open all the time to help fuel your body with the best nutrition and help strengthen our immune system.

“The last quarter of this year was difficult to say the least. We had four deaths in the family in October alone. My husband got infected, which forced me to quarantine and take care of my family, and now it hit me. I need to quarantine and stay home while our business suffers from this horrible virus.

My husband cannot reopen his tattoo business until I am cleared. We have never received government assistance due to the lack of return calls and the lack of progress in the requests for assistance that we have completed. Any donations to keep our dream and our small business afloat will be greatly appreciated. The money raised will go directly to the bills to keep us open. While big companies are bailed out, that’s all we have to stay afloat. Thank you so much ! See you in paradise. “
